Deposits.
A deposit equal to the cost of a one-night stay is required to guarantee a booking; for bookings of more than three nights, the deposit will be 50% of the total cost of the booking. Fourteen days’ notice of cancellation is required for a refund of the deposit, minus an administration fee of £7.50 per room. If cancellation occurs within 14 days of arrival the deposit will not be refunded.

We take the balance of your payment on arrival and accept cash and debit/credit cards – although we do not accept Diners or American Express.
Cancellation and Insurance
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately by phone. If we are able to re-let the cancelled accommodation, we will refund the deposit already paid – less a £7.50 administration fee per room. If we are not able to re-let the room(s) we regret that we cannot return your deposit.

If we have to cancel any booking due to illness or bereavement, or close due to adverse weather, flooding, fire or any circumstance deemed beyond our control whatsoever we will try, but not guarantee, to relocate all bookings (to alternative, suitable, accommodation in Whitby). If this is not possible, then we would refund all monies paid by you.
