Take the train

Visit Scarborough
Spend a few hours at the original spa seaside resort of Scarborough, take some pennies into the arcades or walk around the castle and headland.
Castle Howard
Quite simply a great day out! Located in the beautiful Howardian Hills, Castle Howard is one of Britain’s finest stately homes. Explore the house and the 1000 acres of parkland and/or enjoy one of the many events from the ever-changing programme.
A day in York
There’s plenty to see and do in York – from a walk around the City Walls and afternoon tea at Betty’s to the glories of the Minster, the Castle Museum, or the National Railway Museum. York is about an hour and ten minute drive from Whitby.
