Our breakfasts are cooked to order using local produce where possible.

We strive to accommodate all diets and preferences and, should you have any specific requirements including vegan or gluten free options, please let us know in advance of your stay with us.

Breakfast

The best breakfasts are a leisurely affair to be lingered over and we serve from 8am to 9.30am, with earlier breakfasts available by arrangement. We offer a buffet with cereals, fruit, toast and preserves followed by your choice of a hot breakfast – all prepared fresh to order. Our eggs are free-range, the meat is from Radford's Butchers and we have vegan sausages.

The full English

Sausage, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato, hash browns, baked beans and eggs cooked as you like them (fried, poached or scrambled)

The full vegetarian

Vegetarian sausages, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato, baked beans and eggs cooked as you like them (fried, poached, scrambled)

American style pancackes

Served with maple syrup and bacon

Whitby kippers

The famous Fortune’s kippers served with a poached egg and slow-roasted tomato

Scrambled eggs with salmon

Served on a toasted English muffin

Shakshuka

Mildly spicy tomato-y ‘stew’ with either baked eggs or crumbled feta

Roasted tomatoes with halloumi

Served on toasted brioche

Eggs on toast

Fried, poached or scrambled

Toast and preserves

A pot of tea (Yorkshire​, Earl Grey, or herbal) or a cafetiere of freshly ground coffee.

Evening meals

Number 6 is just a short walk away from a good choice of restaurants and bars – look at our Local attractions page for more information on some popular places – but should you prefer to bring in your own food or grab a takeaway please let us know and we will set a table for you in the dining room.  We’re not licensed so please feel free to bring a bottle.
